Antonio Resines has again embarked on film production, providing the documentary
La Aventura del Pájaro Amarillo more than 30 years of film industry experience. This film presents the first trans-Atlantic flight by a European crew in 1929. As stated previously, the flight took off from the State of Maine, USA headed for Paris. But, after 29 hours in the air and 3,300 kilometres, the plane was running out of fuel and had to make an emergency landing on the Spanish Oyambre Beach, near the town of Comillas.
The crew of this historic flight consisted of promoter of the crossing Armand Lotti, flight captain Jean Assolant, navigator René Lefévre, and Arthur Schreiber, a stowaway who snuck aboard to write a book about the flight.
La Aventura del Pájaro Amarillo marks
Juan Molina Temboury?s directing debut after developing his artistic talents as a cinematographer in many television productions and big-screen titles like
El Mar es Azul (1989),
Diario de una Becaria (2003) and
La Daga de Rasputín (2011), among others.
For his part,
Antonio Resines, better known for his acting roles than his work behind the cameras, made some brief inroads into production between 1979 and 1982, with numerous short films and feature films like
Pares y Nones (1982), directed by
José Luis Cuerda. Then, after 28 years, he returned to producing as associate producer of
Fernando Trueba?s Chico & Rita (2010).
