Also from Argentina comes Finally, the Sea (Al fin, el mar) by Jorge Dyszel, a very romantic comedy-drama about the adventures of a commodities trader on Wall Street who’s mother is Cuban and a boat person from the island who attempts to go to Florida in search of a better life. Filmed in New York, Miami and Havana, Finally, the Sea is a story about the uprooting of immigration and also of self-discovery, all in the context of the flip side of the idyllic view of the American dream.
