The Board of Directors of the Academy has named
Enrique Bocanegra Vidal as Technical Secretary of the Cinema Academy. Enrique Bocanegra, with a degree in Information Sciences from the
Universidad de Sevilla, has been the head of programming for cinema of the Madrid "Circulo de Bellas Artes" (Fine Arts Society). He began his professional career in the Seville communications media. In 1999, he moved to Mexico where he collaborated with the contemporary culture magazine "Viceversa" while working for the news agency Notimex, as an international division reporter. Later, during 2001, he was correspondent for this agency in Spain. He has also worked in the communications department of the parent company CEOE and in the news department of Antena 3 TV (International Division Weekend Edition). The new Technical Secretary will be in charge of cultural activities management of the Academy organization of exhibitions, film series, coordination of publications and the website, among other activities, and will be under the management and mandate of the General Manager,

With the naming of the Technical Secretary, the professionalization process of this institution continues, with a view to increasing the activities of the Academy. Enrique Bocanegra will take his new post on 15th September.
