In the deepest jungle of Equatorial Guinea, the bandjis or initiated of the bueti invoke their protecting spirits. In this small African country, for the last thirty years the population has been under the yoke of the esangui dictators who sustain their power through witchcraft, closely linked to the consumption of human flesh. The bueti are fighting openly against such cannibalistic practices in an environment where magic, spells and incantations exist in parallel with the real world.
