From July 9-29, 2012,
the Online Film Festival, a
filmotech.com project with support from the Ámbito Cultural website of El Corte Inglés department stores, will be held for the second year running. This is
a pioneering and unprecedented worldwide initiative ? free, online, and social ? which offers access to unreleased Spanish films from 2011, still not premiered through all possible film distribution channels.
The Festival, which can be enjoyed without restrictions via streaming on the website
www.festivalcineonline.com, offers a total of six Spanish productions participating in the Official Section:
Yonay Boix and
Pol Aregall?s Amanecidos, starring
Javier Pereira, among others, Raya Martin?s
Buenas Noches, España, starring
Pilar López de Ayala and
Andrés Gertrudix,
Luis Sánchez Alba and the
Boa Mistura group?s Diamond Inside,
Jonathan Cenzual?s El Alma de las Moscas,
Alfonso Amador?s Enxaneta, and
Adán Aliaga?s El Eternauta?s Wife (La Mujer del Eternauta).
The second edition of the festival can now be seen for the first time simultaneously on the
Festival website, Orange TV (via their IPTV videoclub), through mobile and tablet devices, and in cinema theaters, the most traditional of film viewing methods, with showings arranged at the Cineteca de Matadero (for audiences in Madrid). All of this adds up to the main goal of broadening access to the festival?s participating titles.
The jury ? consisting of film reporters
Gregorio Belinchón,
Jesús García Calero,
Jaume Figueres,
Luis Martínez and
Juan Zavala, along with film director
Max Lemcke, and journalist and director of El Corte Inglés? Ámbito Cultural
Ramón Pernas ? will give out the
Best Film Award this year, which comes with
2,500 Euros in prize money and broadcast of the winning film on
TCM?s Canal Autor.
In addition, the
People?s Choice Award for Best Film will be given to the film which receives the most votes from viewers who have voted via the festival?s facebook application.
The Festival has collaboration from
Orange, the cannel
TCM,
the Cineteca de Madrid, and
