DOCUMENTA MADRID 10 wraps up this weekend, but not before giving out its awards. filmotech.com users have the opportunity, with the documentaries you can see, to participate in the awarding of the filmotech.com Award to the most-viewed short film from the selection we provide for you. After a week of intense, frequent viewings, we are pleased to announce that the winner is Recordando los rostros de la muerte by Lois Patiño. Congratulations!
On Wednesday, we were given the sad news of the passing away of one of Spanish cinema´s most beloved comedians, Antonio Ozores. On filmotech.com we honour him with a selection of his films, the vast majority directed by his brother, Mariano Ozores. You can see this selection by clicking on the banner dedicated to the actor on our home page. Adiós, Antonio!
Starting yesterday, cinema goers in Spain have been able to see Ridley Scott´s new work with Russell Crowe, Robin Hood, which opened the Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday. In addition, arriving today is Kynodontas [Dogtooth], the risky, original offering by Greek filmmaker Giorgos Lanthimos; Two Lovers, a romantic drama with Joaquin Phoenix and Gwyneth Paltrow; and Rose et Noir, a European historical comedy starring Gerard Jugnot and Juan Diego, who we´ve prepared a feature article about on filmotech.com.
