On 28th September, the V Festival de Cine de Ponferrada [5th Ponferrada Film Festival] got underway. The festival is taking place in various venues in the town of the Spanish province of Leon until 6th October, and is organized by the Mi retina me engaña association in collaboration with the Town of Ponferrada and various companies and institutions. 40 works are competing in the contests four sections. In addition, there are various parallel sections, and honorary awards given to the actress Charo Lopez, the director and producer Valentin Carrera, the Television Española program Metropolis and UNICEF.
