This film, which tells the story of a first sexual encounter between a mature woman and a prostitute, with both tenderness and eroticism, is helping to consolidate this directors film career, which started well with her previous short, Flores en el Parque (o los primeros besos).

At Home was the winner of the Best Short Film Award at its premiere at LesGaiCineMad The Madrid International LGTB Film Festival which means that Mariel Macia been awarded this prize two years running at the biggest Hispano American festival in the world.

That was just the beginning of a journey which has led her to pick up prizes in Paris, New York, Hamburg, Gran Canaria and the film is still awaiting screening at the biggest LGTB festivals worldwide:
