Boris Izaguirre has been invited by Catalonian director Ventura Pons to appear in A la deriva as the caracter Floreal de Medignan, a famous and vain writer of bestseller self-help books for elderly readers who are retired in an exclusive health care facility, the luxury hotel spa of Can Mora de Dalt in the town of Sant Vicenç de Montalt in the county of Maresme (Barcelona). There, Izaguirres character will clash with Anna, a nun who has returned from hard work with an NGO in Africa, now working as a security guard.

A la deriva is being played by a very extensive cast led by Maria Molins (Anna), Roger Coma, Fernando Guillen, Marc Cartes, Albert Perez, Anna Azcona, Merce Pons, Oscar Rabadan and Oriol Tramvia. Produced by Ventura Pons himself for ELS FILMS DE LA RAMBLA, with the production linked to TV3 (Televisio de Catalunya ), shooting is underway until 3rd July in Barcelona, completing filming in the Republic of Chad in Africa.
