U2 have been in the limelight for 30 years now and are still considered one of the leading groups today. Their legions of fans increase in number every year, and therefore it is not surprising if rumours about a film being made about their lives are also flying. The members of U2 are currently very busy, preparing their next tour (due to start in Barcelona on 30th May) and promoting their latest record "No line on the horizon", the fastest-selling LP so far this year in the UK.
Guitarist The Edge, aged 47, has already expressed his preferences in the case that the film project goes ahead. Wed want it to be realistic, we dont want the usual things, so Brad Pitt would play me. The leader of the group, Bono, doesnt beat about the bush either: Whos another tall skinny Irishman? Daniel Day Lewis would play me."
