Machi is the star of the movie The Woman Without a Piano , the second feature film to be made by Spanish director Javier Rebollo.

Carmen Machi, best known for her humorous character in the TV comedy "Aida", now reveals her dramatic side, playing a housewife trying to escape from her dull, routine life. Javier Rebollos latest film, full of silences and darkness, received both positive and negative reviews at the San Sebastian Festival.

The Woman Without a Piano tells the story of Rosa, a woman who spends all day stuck at home, who decides to escape and go and look for her son, having various adventures and meeting all kinds of people in the Madrid night.

10 to 11 also touches the subject of loneliness. Mihat, the hero, collects all kinds of things, newspapers or books, in an attempt to blend the past and the present together. Everything changes when he is told that the building he lives in is going to be demolished.

Today is the last day of the festival before the names of the winners are announced tomorrow. The biggest attraction today is the screening of Health Ledgers last performance in Terry Gilliams The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, also featuring actors like Jude Law and Johnny Depp.

Furthermore, beautiful Australian actress Naomi Watts is to present Mother and Child , the film which closes the festival. Watts received applause a few days ago at the Toronto Festival for her performance and will be accompanied by the director of the film, Rodrigo Garcia, son of writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
