With more than 100 awards received in film festivals under his belt, including awards from the Venice Film Festival and the European Film Academy, Eduardo Chapero-Jackson has accomplished something unheard of: three of his highest awarded short films are being shown in film theatres for the public at-large as part of the project titled A Contraluz . Contracuerpo, Alumbramiento and The End can been seen for only 3 euros across Spain in all UGC Cine Cite cinema, starting today, 26th June.

”At first, I wasn’t too sure about the idea,” explained the filmmaker, “but it could work out because, although it isn’t a trilogy, they take you to the same place – that dark side of the human experience with the depth of pain”.

At the same time, also starting today, Contracuerpo and Alumbramiento can be seen in HD quality on the Internet on www.acontraluzlatrilogia.com, although to see 'The End' online we will have to wait until September, the month in which he will be taking his big leap into feature films with the shooting of Verbo , “a story about adolescents but not for adolescents.”
