Cher and Christina Aguilera, two of the highest-profile-personality singers nowadays, will be working together on the film Burlesque, a musical set in a Los Angeles nightclub.
This film will be Aguileras debut on the big screen, as up to now she has only done the voice-over for the animation film Shark Tale. The singer will play a girl with a great voice who comes to the big city with a desire to make her dream come true: to be a performer.
Its then that she meets Tess (Cher), owner of a Sunset Boulevard cabaret and former dancer, who becomes mentor to the Aguilera character and gives her a chance to shine.
The films director will be Steve Antin, who has also written the screenplay under the review of Susannah Grant.
Production of "Burlesque" will start in November and we will be able to enjoy 12 songs sung by the two artists. It will be a clash of titans.
