This new Warner Bros project was announced just a few days ago. The remake of the classic Clash of the Titans, starring Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes, will be directed by Louis Leterrier (Transporter). We have just received further news: shooting, due to start on 15 May, will take place in Tenerife, bringing income of around two and a half million Euros to the island.
All this has been made possible thanks to the initiative of the Tenerife Film Commission, who invited location manager Robin Riggs to come and see the islands beautiful landscapes.
Until 3 June, Warner Bros will have a team of 350 people on Tenerife to shoot part of the remake of this 1981 film, which tells the story of Perseus on his quest to save Andromeda.
The new version will be directed by Louis Leterrier, who brought us "The Incredible Hulk", with a script by Lawrence Kasdan.
The hero will be played by Australian actor Sam Worthington, currently very much in demand; he is to take part in James Camerons new film and we will shortly be seeing him in Terminator Salvation, before taking on his role as Perseus. The cast also includes Ralph Fiennes, Liam Neeson and Mads Mikkelsen, amongst others.
