Denzel Washington is one of the most respected actors in the film scene and proof of this can be seen in the Oscar he keeps on show at his house.
He has done all kinds of roles; from a gangster, to a corrupt cop, via a desperate father. Now, Washington is in the middle of negotiations about his potential role as the star of Tony Scotts new film, called Unstoppable: a drama produced by 20th Century Fox.
The story is about a train carrying hazardous chemical products, flying out of control towards a small town. At this point two men of action stand out as the heroes of the day and do all that is possible to save the inhabitants. Their mission is to stop the train before it arrives at the town and thus save the lives of many citizens.
Denzel Washington is to play one of those heroes: a railway engineer.
This movie will reunite Washington and director Scott after films like Man on Fire, Deja Vu or The Taking of Pelham 123, which will be released in Spanish cinemas on 24 July.
This film, in which we will also be able to see John Travolta, is set around Pelham station, underneath the streets of New York, where a gang of criminals have hijacked a train and threaten to kill one hostage every minute if their requests are not fulfilled.
