Edward Norton and Robert De Niro are actors from different generations, but they have something in common: their huge acting talent. They will be working together on a new movie to be called Stone, which will start to be filmed in Pittsburgh and Detroit next month. Is not the first time they have featured side by side; they already did so in 2001 in The Score.
In Stone, De Niro will play a parole officer who strikes up a friendship with a teaching assistant, played by Norton. The director will be John Curran, who previously made films like The Painted Veil , in which he also worked with Norton. This isnt the only project the director has in hand: he is also soon to direct Keira Knightley in The Beautiful and the Damned, based on the stormy relationship of writer F. Scott Fitzgerald with his wife Zelda.
Norton is currently awaiting the premiere of Leaves of Grass (no relation to Walt Whitmans poetical work), a comedy with thriller nuances directed by Tim Blake, in which he plays twins: one a classical literature teacher and the other a hedonist with criminal tendencies.
Meanwhile, we can see De Niro in Everybody´s Fine, a comedy also starring Kate Beckinsale, Sam Rockwell and Drew Barrymore, which will be out in November.
