When Emma Watson begins her studies at Columbia University next September, she hopes that she will be able to lead a normal life, far from the stressful hours of filmmaking and promotion of the latest Harry Potter film.
"Im so excited. Living in London, its hard to be anonymous, but hopefully on the campus somewhere, I can fade into the background a bit", the actress told Elle magazine in an interview to be published in August.
Watson has said that she feels in some respects that her life as she knows it will end when all the filming of the Harry Potter saga has finished. "It's going to sound dramatic, she says, but I feel like it's going to be my life over as I know it. My whole life has been about Harry Potter."
What has surprised the actress as she finishes her fruitful relationship with the character of Hermione Granger is the fortune she has amassed since starting her career. Its a fortune amounting to 10 million British pounds that the actress never knew she had, saying, "My dad never told me how much money I was earning. The truth is I would just like to pretend that it doesn't exist."
