The Italian director will be the Chairman of the jury at the 54th Valladolid Film Week, which features five Spanish films in the official section.

Five Spanish films will be taking part in the official section of the 54th Valladolid International Film Week, to be held from 23 to 31 October. Paper Castles, Estigmas , La isla interior and Little Indi will be competing for the Golden Spike while the fifth, Luna caliente , will be shown out of competition.

The official jury panel will be chaired by Ettore Scola, who will receive the Spike of Honour at the opening ceremony. Furthermore, the Seminci will also pay tribute to the director of A Special Day and The Family by showing a cycle of ten of his films, selected by the filmmaker himself.

In fact, Spanish participation is not limited to the official section; in the Meeting Point section La causa de Kripan , Eloise and Xtrems will be competing, and in the History Time section, Comicos , Los caminos de la memoria , El esfuerzo y el animo , Septiembre del 75 and Cambio de sentido will be representing Spain.
