The distribution company Flins & Piniculas make their debut in the field of production with the film ESO (Entidad Sobrenatural Oculta) , a story about urban myths in a high school.
ESO (Entidad Sobrenatural Oculta) is now being filmed and this will be the first movie which Flins & Piniculas have produced, together with Black Flag Cinema. In the directors chair is Santiago Lapeira, who also directed the Spanish film classic Asalto al Banco Central .
Now that the summer holidays are here, the team took the opportunity of shooting in a well-known Barcelona school, one of the main locations for this mysterious story about urban myths existing in the collective imagination. The cast is composed of a large group of young newcomers, supported by established actors like Sergi Mateu, Merce Llorens, Rosana Pastor or Fernando Guillen.
The film tells the story of a group of high school students: Maria, Sonia, Paula, Pol and Esteban. Fascinated by new arrival Axia, a girl with supernatural powers, they let her join their clique. At about that time, and to commemorate the schools 50th anniversary, some renovations are begun to improve the facilities and their teacher proposes that they investigate the schools history. They start to gather information and discover that some tunnels under the school collapsed during the Spanish Civil War, burying the people hidden inside. Several children were thus entombed under their own school and according to the Internet, the people trapped appear in the places where they died. The students call these phenomena E.S.O.: Entidades Sobrenaturales Ocultas, or Occult Supernatural Entities.
To see the film well have to wait until its release in 2010.
