Gillermo del Toro is again teaming up with Belen Rueda after working together on The Orphanage , this time under the direction of Guillem Morales, who also wrote the script in collaboration with Oriol Paulo. The cast will also feature Lluis Homar, Julia Gutierrez Caba and Hector Claramunt.

This film is a new project of horror and suspense for the production company Rodar y Rodar and Guillermo del Toro, creators of The Orphanage , in co-production with Antena 3 Films. Filming will last until December in various locations and sets in Catalonia.

Los ojos de Julia [literally, Julias Eyes] tells the story of a woman (Belen Rueda) who investigates the horrible death of her sister. Everything points to a suicide, which she finds impossible to accept. Obsessed with finding out the truth, she is stalked by a mysterious threat no one else can detect. Neither her husband (Lluis Homar) nor the police can help Julia, who, whats more, suffers from a degenerative illness causing her to progressively lose her sight.
