After six very intense weeks, today at dawn, Javier Rebollo and his team put the finishing touches on the filming of La mujer sin piano . The story of the woman with no piano, played by Carmen Machi, has been made in its entirety in the city of Madrid. The districts of Las Letras, Lavapies, Embajadores and El Rastro have served as sets for this tragedy-comedy produced by Avalon P.C. and Lolita Films with backing by the ICAA and the participation of TVE.
On-hand at the press release last week were the director and his actors (Carmen Machi, Jan Budar and Pep Ricart). Javier Rebollo stated, I cant say what its about because I am discovering that while doing the shooting It involves the finding of two bodies. I dont know any more than that. Everything is being discovered in the filming, the editing its something thats ongoing constantly. The best things happen by chance. Here, everything has the same importance sound, cinematography, performance, set, lighting .
The film is about 24 hours of home, work and sexual life of a housewife. Its a life she manages to escape from one night and, at nightfall, another world opens up to her. La mujer sin piano stars Carmen Machi in her first main leading role in cinema, and for the celebrated Czech actor, musician and scriptwriter Jan Budar. At the press conference, it was reported that the film will be released in the Autumn of this year.
