For the first time, legally, without limitations and with simultaneous release in cinemas and online, all film buffs who have a broadband connection to the Internet can, without leaving home, see the documentary film Malta Radio, thanks to filmotech.com.
The feature-length film, which is being shown starting on Friday in cinemas in Madrid, Barcelona and Santa Pola (where the sailors of the Francisco y Catalina come from) is also available on the Internet for 1.74 euros. As Rafael Sanchez, Director of Filmotech.com explains, Anyone who wants to see the documentary but doesnt live in one of the localities where it is being shown will now have the opportunity to do so. Its a good way to avoid the limitations put on some films which are only released in a couple of large Spanish cities. This way, anyone can see the film regardless of where they live.
Malta Radio tells how the 10 crew members of the fishing boat Francisco y Catalina rescued the 51 immigrants aboard a makeshift craft from near-certain death and the eight days they spent together on the boat while waiting for a decision that would allow for disembarking the immigrants with some guarantees. Its the first film for filmmaker and script-writer Manuel Menchon, an experienced director of advertising who has been working for three years on this project which finally comes to light, produced by Socarrat Producciones, 235, Mediagrama and Manuel Menchon P.C.
To see the film, the online user needs only to access its film file on our website and, from this file, choose the preferred method of payment (SMS, 905, credit card or Paypal payment platform).
