While the Oscar Awards last week announced a fresh look for their next Edition, Spains Film Academy doesnt want to be left behind. The Academys General Manager, Carlos Cuadros, explained that the regulations for the Goya Awards have been rewritten to clear up possibly confusing situations".

Among the main changes are the decision to delay the ceremony by two weeks. This means that it will now be held in mid-February, thus allowing distributors more time to publicise the nominated films, stated Cuadros.

In addition, Academy members can vote online and see the films on the Internet through the filmotech.com website.
