The short films El Descampado and Huellas en la nieve by Pedro Touceda, have been awarded at the Festivales de Strasbourg (France) and at the Short Film Festival of Los Angeles. At the latter, Huellas en la nieve won the Best Photography award, given to Miguel Angel Mora and Isabel Ruiz. Meanwhile, the award for Best Actor at the French festival went to the young Sergio Parralejo for his work in El Descampado. With these latest awards, the short films of this Asturian-Madrilene director have now garnered some 25 prizes all together, most of them outside of Spain. And, while his previous works have been being shown at various festivals around the world, Pedro Touceda is putting the finishing touches on his new short film, Polillas, starring Russian actor Olegar Fedoro (Mission Impossible I, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Eastern Promises...). Polillas tells the story of a peculiar Russian emigrant in Spain who is looking for his place in the universe.
