Ice Age 3 is the film of the summer so far. The film grabbed the top positions at Spanish box offices in its two versions standard projection and 3D, thus taking the first two places of most-seen films in Spain, with revenues of over three million euros (1,856,161 euros for standard projection and 1,221,725 euros in 3D), topping 12 million overall in just one week.
Sandra Bullock and The Proposal , couldnt do better than third and the film earned 947,325 euros, which isnt bad. Bullock showed that she continues to be the queen of comedy, this time joined by up-and-coming star of this genre Ryan Reynolds.
Bruno , the new film by the irreverent Sacha Baron Cohen, took fourth place in its debut week with 457,458 euros, trailed only slightly by the thriller Beyond a Reasonable Doubt , a remake of a classic starring Michael Douglas, in fifth position.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen dropped to sixth place with 388,823, followed very closely by The Last House on the Left , remake of the classic by Wes Craven, which got 348,285 euros in its second week.
The most popular Spanish film this week has once again been the comedy Pagafantas which continued in the top ten, but this time in 8th position, with collections of 314,737 euros.
After seven weeks in Spanish cinemas, Man son hater kvinnor [Millennium: Part 1 Men Who Hate Women ] hasnt fallen further than ninth place and has taken in more than six-and-a-half million euros in total. Far behind is Paintball , which in its first week couldnt bring in more than 112,200 euros in box-office receipts, but still makes it the second most-seen Spanish film of the week.
