The American film Immigrants-L.A. Dolce Vita , directed by Gabor Csupo, received the award for Best Feature Film at the closing ceremony of the 5th International Cordoba Animation Film Festival, Animacor'09.
The Animacor '09 International Jury, made up of Juan Padron, Arthur Qwak, Ricardo Ramon Gonzalez, and Jez Hall, gave out the following awards all together:
-Best Feature Film Award to the American Immigrants-L.A. Dolce Vita by Gabor Csupo.
-First Prize in the category of Short Film to Mei Ling by French filmmakers Sthephanie Lansaque and François LeRoy.
-Second Prize for Best Short Film to Madagascar, carnet de voyage by Bastien Dubois.
-Third Prize for a Short Film to the French film Ex - E.T. by Beno Bargeton, Remy Froment, Nicolas Gracia, and Yannick Lasfas.
-Best TV Series Award, also to a French production, to Au pays du Pere No by David Alaux and Eric Tosti.
In addition, the jury gave a Special Mention Award to the short film Laska by Polish director Michal Socha, and the RTVA (Andalusian Television) Award for Andalusian Audiovisual Creation, given by the RTVA Special Jury, went to the short film Alma by Granada filmmaker Rodrigo Blaas, who worked with the all-powerful Pixar. At the same time, the Special Prize by the Childrens Jury for Best TV Series went to the French Poemes du Monde: Paraboles
