Yesterday in Venice, filmmaker Oliver Stone presented to the press the documentary South of the Border, a tribute to Hugo Chavez, for whom Stone doesnt hide his support for. Today will be the films worldwide premiere and there are many rumours that the Venezuelan leader will walk the red carpet. For his part, Michael Moore is also presenting a political documentary, Capitalism: A Love Story. The 55-year-old director attacks the capitalist system, alleging that it favours the wealthy and condemns millions of people to poverty.
Disney-Pixar has been honoured with the Golden Lion Award to the Seventh Art for the success it has had in the making of all of its films. Its latest project, Up, is but one example of what this company is capable of doing.

Today, Monday, Steven Soderberghs latest film, The Informant, will be presented out of competition. Both the filmmaker and star, Matt Damon, are expected to attend the festival.
