Javier Bardem has turned down the offer of a part in Money Never Sleeps (Wall Street 2 ), the movie which will be directed by Oliver Stone and star Michael Douglas and Shia LaBeouf. As the actors agent told Ford magazine, Bardem has had to turn down the invitation due to lack of time, as he has had five or six other offers.
Shooting of the second part of the feature film from 1987, Wall Street, is due to start in August, and it is scheduled for release in February 2010. Michael Douglas will resume his old role of Gordon Gekko, which won him the Oscar for Best Male Lead. At his side, the young Shia LaBeouf will replace Charlie Sheen, playing a young stockbroker who has to become Gekkos ally in order to take his revenge on a perverse Wall Street financier.
However, we will be able to see Bardems performance in Eat, Pray, Love , a film directed by Ryan Murphy in which he co-stars with Julia Roberts.
