A few days ago, we were able to see the powerful images of Tim Burtons new film, "Alice in Wonderland", starring, as if it could be no other way, Burtons pet actor, Johnny Depp. The film hasnt been released yet, but Depp has confirmed the new joint project.
According to statements made by the actor to a Brazilian website, Burton is now working on the big-screen adaptation of the British series "Dark Shadows" and Depp will be a vampire in it called Barnabas Collins.
"Tim is working on Alicia, which obviously involves a lot of work. But, when he finishes the script, something very, very near being done, well get started", said Depp. The actor is enthusiastic about the project: "Its a dream for me", he said. "I had photos of myself from when I was five or six years-old of Barnabas".
The Burton-Depp duo has the wind in its sails, and the director and actor have worked together on innumerable occasions, from Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory , going back to Sleepy Hollow and Edward Scissorhands.
