Since becoming a mother for the first time in 2004, Oscar-winner Julia Roberts slowed down her work schedule significantly. So, her fans got to see her in Oceans Eleven, a few Broadway shows and small parts in independent productions. But now, finally, we can enjoy her performance as the heroine of Duplicity, a film which will arrive at cinemas on 20th March, in which she works once again with Clive Owen, after sharing the billing in Closer. In this film they play two ex-CIA agents who, after the Cold War, become private spies employed by big multinational corporations.
They turn out to be rivals in the struggle to obtain the formula of a product very much sought after by their bosses, and are ready to leap both legal and ethical obstacles in order to achieve their objectives. Naturally, they also experience a mutual attraction which makes their jobs that much more difficult.
This suspenseful spy thriller is written and directed by Tony Gilroy (of Michael Clayton).
The excellent cast includes Tom Wilkinson, Billy Bob Thorton and Paul Giamatti.
