Liam Neeson could very soon be the one to come out with the famous line I love it when a plan comes together. The hero of Schindlers List may agree to play John "Hannibal" Smith in the film adaptation of the A-Team, directed by Joe Carnahan (Smokin Aces ).
If negotiations are successful, Neeson would take over the role of A-team leader, originally played on the small screen by George Peppard, sadly no longer with us. Whats more, according to information first published in Variety magazine and reported by Europa Press, dashing Bradley Cooper (Hes Just Not That Into You ) is in negotiations for the role of Lieutenant Templeton Peck, alias Faceman, the good-looking member of the group.
If these rumours are confirmed, the only roles still to be filled will be Howling Mad Murdock - and apparently Woody Harrelson may be interested - and M.A. Baracus (who used to be known as Mr. T), a dream role for which two rap stars are competing, Common and Ice Cube.
These signings will have to materialise soon as 20th Century Fox and brothers Ridley and Tony Scott, the producers of the project, intend to start filming at the end of August so as to release the movie The A-Team in June 2010. This film will bring the storyline of the legendary television series up to date. Amongst other changes, the members of the A-Team will be veterans of the Iraq war instead of Vietnam.
