It’s been a while, but finally Lindsay Lohan is making news for her work and not only for her scandals. The young actress has gone back to work in the comedy Labor Pains , a film in which a woman pretends to be pregnant to avoid being fired from her job. The film comes to Spanish cinemas on Friday, July 31.

Her 46-year-old mother, Dina, is very happy for Lindsay and so sure about her abilities that she is convinced that she will one day in the director’s chair. Lindsay’s proud mother states, "She’s a genius. She has a good heart… Lindsay will direct one day. She loves directing.

While Lindsay is having professional success, Dina hopes he daughter will find love in her life. “I taught my children to love,” she says, “And if you fall in love, life is about that. Family, it’s not about work. You want goals, you want it to be, but you still want someone to share that with.”

There is no doubt that for Lindsay’s mother love is the key to everything. She comments, “We’re all looking for love and someone to be with; someone to share that with. My parents have been married for 50 years, we see that and that is important. It’s work, but you want to separate it, go home and have a family. [Work] is not going to be forever.” It would seem that Lindsay hasn’t heard her mother’s words, having broken up for the umpteenth time with her girlfriend Samantha Ronson.
