Luis Alejandro Berdejo is debuting as a director with The New Daughter, starring Kevin Costner and Ivana Baquero. The New Daughter, is a production of Gold Circle Films (Slither, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, White Noise) written by John Travis and based on the book "Nocturnes" by John Connolly. Starring two-time-Oscar-winner Kevin Costner (Dances with Wolves, The Guardian, Mr. Brooks) and the young revelation Ivana Baquero (Pans Labyrinth), filming will begin in February 2008. Alter a difficult divorce, John James (Kevin Costner) moves with his children, Louisa (Ivana Baquero) and Sam, to a far away house in the country to be able to start his familys life anew. There, Louisa finds a small archaeological site near her house and soon she becomes a dark and different person. When a series of worrying events start to occur in the James home, John looks into the past of the area and discovers what can save Louisa from a old and fatal phenomenon
Berdejos next film will be Jennifer Can, starring Jose Luis Garcia Perez and produced by Versus Entertainment, a company of the Vertice 360 Group.
