The winner of Best European Distributor of the Year award, given by the Cartoon Forum of Girona, is Luk Internacional, distributor of TV content for Spain and Portugal (Shin Chan, Doraemon, Las tortugas Ninja or Keroro, among others). Cartoon Forum, the market for European animation series projects for television and new media, was held in the Catalonian town of Girona from 19th to 22nd September. In Luk Internacionals category were also BKN International (Germany), Mediatoon (France), Telescreen (the Netherlands), and TV Loonland (United Kingdom). Luk Internacional, established in 1979, has deserved the distinction of this award because of its work as a gateway to European animation in our country [Spain], according to the appraisal given by the Cartoon Forum organization. The awarded distributor currently has more than 10,000 half-hours of TV programming in its catalogue.
