The film, without dialogue and based on an enactment of Dantes seven deadly sins, will premiere at the end of November and has already sparked the interest of some antiquity lovers who see it as going beyond the typical feature film. Furthermore, the Sloth art-video piece played by Luisa Aguado and taken from one of the scenes in the feature film has been chosen by La Fabrica to be shown at its alternative theatre in Barcelona on December 22.
Francisco Brives has a cast for his film made up of actors tied to the Madrid stage scene, with names like Julian Ortega, Eva Barcelo, Luisa Aguado, Alvar Zarco, Maria Gray, Laila Elias, and David Martin among others the director has featured to play the parts of the respective characters. Wrath, Lust, Greed
are intensely relevant topics nowadays, states the director, adding, I believe the film will reach by body language and the actions of clarity what doesnt need to be moulded by dialogues.
The central theme of the film is an invitation to reflect on the here and now of mankind. We live in times of political, social and human excesses, which encouraged me to delve into the origins of these attitudes that distinguish daily life in our society. For example, the scene of greed played by David Martin is a clear allusion to the current economic crisis and its origin is nothing else than the excesses and lack of restraint by the banks and the markets, Brives says. Nunc et in hora invites reflection and will certainly leave no one feeling indifferent about the film. It is being filmed with natural light and in locations in Spains Castilla La Mancha and Galicia Regions.
