In October this year Oceans will be released, a study of the seas and everything on this planet that lives in their depths. The film is already considered to be the most expensive documentary ever made. The project is directed by French filmmakers Jacques Cluzaud and Jacques Perrin, who received Best Documentary Oscar nominations in 2003 for Winged Migration, aka The Travelling Birds.
In a recently published statement, Notro Films said that it is not only the most expensive documentary production in film history, but provides a new approach to the ocean and sea creatures, venturing into the depths where no man has ever been before.
The new documentary, with a script written by John Collee, explores all the seas on the planet, from the polar ice floes, through the tropics, to the unexplored depths where a ray of sunlight has never shone.
