Once again this year, Super 8 film fans have until 1 October to submit their undeveloped films to the organisation. To see them, they will have to wait for Premiere night, when the jury panel and the public will vote for their favourites.

Toma Unica is a Super 8 Film Festival, the only one of its kind in Spain, which appeals to everyone who loves film and a challenge. Well actually, to those who can stand the suspense of recording a film in Super 8 format with no cuts or editing, and which cannot be seen until the festival begins, as the participants have to send a single cartridge of undeveloped film. Three minutes of glory, laughter, embarrassment or, who knows?

The subject and genre are completely free (anything goes, from video-clips to experimental cinema or science fiction). Whats more, as it is silent film, each participant can provide live sound at the screening (a recorded CD, live music, speech....).
