The singer of "Umbrella" could be the next to perform in the new version of The Bodyguard, a film originally starring Whitney Houston. According to the Daily News, in the remake, the lead will be younger and sexier than the original, and it seems the young singer Rihanna has met with the producers on numerous occasions. The filmmakers are hoping for new songs for the film, but its very likely that the hit "I Will Always Love You" will also be part of the soundtrack.
This is not the first film to come Rihannas way. She is also one of the leading candidates to play in the third instalment of Charlies Angels. While, for the moment, her agents have been denying this speculation, the singer from Barbados has long expressed her desire to become an actress. "I would love to participate in a film; thats my next goal. I love music, but I would also like to be in movies," said Rihanna.
