Preparations have been underway for the film of Warcraft for months, but it wasnt until this week that Legendary pictures and Blizzard Entertainment found the director who would take on the making of the film. Sam Raimi, whose latest film, Drag Me to Hell, will soon be out in Spain, is to undertake the adaptation of World of Warcraft when he has completed his work on Spider-Man 4 , his most recent project.

Raimi will make the adaptation of the video game with live action, rather than animation, and to do so will have a budget estimated at some 100 million dollars. Furthermore, we are assured that the film version of Warcraft will not be about a journey, in the style of The Lord of the Rings , but will focus more on the growing tensions between the races of their own universe.
