Last year one of the movies most anxiously awaited by film lovers came out: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull . This was the big screen comeback of one of the most popular film heroes.
The movie earned 317 million dollars in the US and 786 million worldwide, and was one of the biggest box-office hits of 2008, second only to The Dark Knight .
With figures like these it was obvious there was more gold to be dug out of this new take on the classic trilogy. That was confirmed by Shia LaBeouf, the young actor accompanying Harrison Ford in the movie: "Steven [Spielberg] just said that he cracked the story on it, and I think they're gearing it up."
Ford also let something slip on the subject a few months ago: Its automatic really, we did well with the last one and with that having done well and been a positive experience, its not surprising that some people want to do it again."
Its true that LaBoeuf is working non-stop right now; he is also appearing in the sequel to Wall Street , sharing the billing with Michael Douglas, and directed by Oliver Stone: Money Never Sleeps will be the films official title.
