This past weekend, Hollywood screens in Los Angeles flickered with the most intimate and deep short film of the film-maker of Spain’s La Mancha region, Daniel Chamorro. "Catharsis" is a 10-minute long work, filmed in Berlin in German. The film was made by an international crew. The film shows that it isn’t necessary to have grandiloquence to tell a good story. Two characters, intense dialogues and a little humour tie together this short film and it has had great success with the critics and the public in Spain, having received 11 awards so far, these now included on the 81 Chamorro has garnered for his short films. Daniel Chamorro is currently in Hollywood. At studios with Bernard Hiller, a Los Angeles coach, he is preparing his first feature film. Daniel is meeting with producers, actors and technicians to achieve this aim. Last week, he met with Christopher Young, a musician for more than 100 films, among them "Spiderman 3", "The Core" or "Ghost Rider". He has also met with Zelda Rubinstein, the famous little contact with spirits in the film "Poltergeist", who could appear in the cast of his film.
