The Madrid Communitys Summer Cinema programme, which this year is bringing recent Spanish films and international productions to 43 towns in the region with under 10,000 inhabitants, will include the showing of short films in a significant number of its sessions, for the third year running.
.This initiative is part of the promotional programme MADRID EN CORTO, thanks to which short films made this year within the Madrid Community will be shown in the squares and public spaces where the Summer Cinema sessions take place in Madrid region towns in July and August.
This summer the following short films will be shown: El palacio de la luna by Ione Hernandez; Harraga by Eva Patricia Fernandez and Mario de la Torre; La clase by Beatriz M. Sanchis; Paredes by Jorge Galeron; Paseo by Arturo Ruiz Serrano; Because There Are Things We Never Forget by Lucas Figueroa; Test by Marta Aledo and Natalia Mateo, and Viaje a Bangkok by Dionisio Perez Galindo. All these took part in Madrid en Corto 2008 and obtained many awards at national and international festivals.
