It was shortly after the release of Sin City in 2005 that Frank Miller announced that his acclaimed movie would have a sequel. After several delays, it turns out that filming is due to begin next year, as star Clive Owen confirmed, so it would appear that the premiere will take place in 2011.
Very few details about the project are known so far. While the first film had a star-studded ensemble cast including Bruce Willis and Josh Hartnett as well as Owen, the actors taking part in the sequel have yet to be confirmed. Miller stated in November 2007 that the delays were due to the fact that a third episode was being considered. Rodriguez, for his part, claims that Part 3 will consist of Millers adaptation of Hell and Back .
