If the Madrid Zoo has the panda bear Chu-lin, Barcelona wont be left behind, as it has had its own particular albino "King Kong", which for obvious reasons was given the name Snowflake (Floquet de Neu in Catalan). Now, the famous albino gorilla, unique in his species, will have his own animation film, shot in Catalan and mixing 3D animation and real-life images.
An agreement has been reached between the mayor of Barcelona, Jordi Hereu, the President of, Julio Fernandez, the Director of Utopia Global, Jordi Roige, and the Director of MUF Animation, Gemma Larregola. In addition, this agreement provides for the involvement of the zoo and city of Barcelona, as well as for the films international distribution.
Furthermore, its quite possible that Snowflake will have his own TV series in which the white gorilla will travel across five continents helped by other animals which find themselves in dangerous circumstances. The series will be clearly educational in nature in defence of animals and then environment.
We will have to wait for the film debut until the Winter of 2010.
