The institution makes films, books, posters, soundtracks and various publications available to the public.

The Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Cinematograficas de España [Spanish Cinema Arts and Sciences Academy] Reference Library and Archive is now open to academics, scholars, and professionals of Spanish and Ibero-American cinema.

The Academy, which has been working on this project for many years as an outgrowth of an initiative by Jose Luis Borau, aims for the library and archive to become a reference and inquiry centre for Spanish cinema.

Although it has just been started, the Library already has more than 4,000 books and 2,000 films, and an extensive selection of film posters, soundtracks, current and de-catalogued periodical publications, photographs and documentation from the Academy itself, including information on the Goya Awards.

The modern reading and reference room will be open to the public from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM from Monday to Thursday, and on Fridays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

The Academy would like to thank all the people and institutions connected to cinema that have made possible a legacy growing day by day with books, original scripts with filming notes, costume designs, posters… The material is catalogued and preserved for circulation and use by researchers, academics, the Communications media, students and film-lovers.
