Spanish Movie to Be Released this Autumn

Spain’s first “spoof movie” is a parody on some of the biggest hits of Spanish cinema.

Source: filmotech.com

Eduardo Noriega’s run up Madrid’s Gran Via in Open Your Eyes [Abre los ojos ], Penelope Cruz running away from the house where The Orphanage [El Orfanato ] was filmed and some of the most unforgettable moments from recent Spanish films like The Others [Los otros ] , The Sea Inside [Mar adentro ] , Alatriste or Pan’s Labyrinth [El laberinto del fauno ] provide material for director Javier Ruiz Caldera for the film, by Telecinco, he has undertaken to make as the first ever parody film on Spanish cinema.

The parody’s cast consists of actors tied to comedy and television, such as Alexandra Jimenez (the character Africa in "Los Serrano"), Carlos Areces and Joaquin Reyes (Muchachada Nui), Eduardo Gomez (Mariano in "Aqui no hay quien viva") or Michelle Jenner ("Los hombres de Paco"). The film also makes a friendly nod to parody fans with the indisputable master of this genre, Leslie Nielsen, making a couple of appearances in the film.

For now, we can show you the first (if not final) poster and teaser trailer just released by the distributor.
