The new addition to the Terminator saga has been extremely well received and, for the second week running, is at first place as the most successful box office hit in Spain. Christian Bale is becoming a very profitable actor and, after the success of Batman, he now triumphs again with Terminator Salvation. The movie has already earned a total of 5,121,840 euros.
Second place goes to the surprise hit of the season, Millenium: Part 1 - Men Who Hate Women, based on the novel by Stieg Larsson, with 633,637 euros. Next comes Angels & Demons , starring Tom Hanks, which after five weeks in cinemas is still in third place and has brought in a total of 13,836,074 euros.
Lilly the Witch: The Dragon and the Magic Book has had to be content with fourth place the week of its release, which isnt at all bad given the fierce competition in cinemas now. This film has earned 484,014 euros. Fifth position is held by Coraline , with 474,924 euros, followed by Ben Stillers comedy Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian with 370,082 euros.
The new American comedy just released in Spanish cinemas, I love You, Man , comes in at seventh place in its first week out thanks to a turnover of 300,348 euros. Meanwhile, the French film Coco Before Chanel has fallen to eighth place with 259.093 euros.
Another new release this week, Cleaner, is in at number nine. The fantastic cast, including Samuel L. Jackson, Eva Mendes and Ed Harris, could do no more, and the film has only made 257,512 euros. And finally, bringing up the rear at tenth place is the Spanish comedy 7 minutes , with 177,166 euros.
