The seventh edition of the In-Edit Beefeater Film Festival, being held in Barcelona from tomorrow until November 8, will present the symbiosis between cinema and music with interesting documentary films.
The seventh In-Edit Beefeater Film Festival, taking place in Barcelona from tomorrow thru November 8 will once again be an international milestone when it comes to showing the union between cinema and music. 45 musical documentaries will be presented in original-language version to draw audiences which are fans of music as well as cinema.
The event opener will be the screening of the documentary La Leyenda del Tiempo (Spain, 2009) by Jose Sanchez-Montes, in which the great Camaron is honoured via statements by admirers and professional colleagues, such as Kiko Veneno, Tomatito and Raimundo Amador.
One of the hit films that can be seen at this years festival will be This is Spinal Tap (USA, 1984), which is being shown upon the 25th anniversary of its making, and gives us a comedic look at this heavy metal bands success subsequent decline.
Other documentaries which shouldnt be missed at In-Edit are Febrero. Cuando la vida es Carnaval (Spain, 2009), about the fiesta par excellence in Cadiz and that is being shown within the National Official Section, or Johnny Cash at Folsom Prison (USA, 2008) by Bestor Cram, which the festival is including in its International Section. Its well worth reviewing the In-Edit programme, as many of the films are being shown in Spain for the first time.
