Its official: British actor Anthony Hopkins will be working under the New York director in his next project.
At the moment, all we know about the film is that it will be shot in London and that it will be a comedy drama about romantic liaisons, sexual longings and ambitions. The project, yet to be named, will be the third movie Allen has filmed in London, after Match Point and Scoop.
Working with Hopkins will be Josh Brolin, who we can currently see sharing a billboard with Sean Penn in My Name is Harvey Milk (a role for which he has been nominated for a Best Supporting Actor) after being showered with glory last year, together with a Javier Bardem, in No Country for Old Men. This will be the second time this Californian actor has worked with the New York director, as they have already collaborated to make Melinda and Melinda.
After London it will be the turn of Paris, as just a few days ago the French Ministry of Culture announced that Allen will be shooting a picture in the City of Light in October 2010.
Theres no doubt about it: filming is the best way to promote a city.
