Sinopsis
This sequel to Filmmakers against Tycoons starts with a surprising declaration by Salvador Dali giving way to stunning statements by various filmmakers in defence of their moral rights. These involve trials in Paris in defence of John Houston’s moral rights pertaining to the broadcast of the colourised version of Asphalt Jungle, in Copenhagen, a case of pan-scanning of a Sydney Pollack film on Danish TV, and, in Stockholm, where two filmmakers filed charges for the commercial breaks in their films on TV. This documentary also covers dubbing and alterations to music, as well as Final Cut, the deterioration of colour charged by Martin Scorsese in Venice and multiple alterations which films suffer, such as the new digital censorship promoted by companies like Movie Mask, denounced by Woody Allen and Jules Dassin.
